Need a hand on the water?

Regions open in order: Alpine Lake first, then Slow River, then Reservoir. A region unlocks once you clear all four drills in the previous region — Shore Read, Sonar Sweep, Day Dial and Tackle Bench — with at least 60% accuracy on each.

Your score is the share of the five real holding spots your markers land inside, within the reveal radius shown for each one. Placing a marker outside every radius doesn't count against you — it just doesn't score, and the breakdown explains why the real spot held fish (depth break, weed edge, current seam, shade, inflow, timber or rock).

Field Notes are the app's progress currency. You earn them at the end of every drill, scaled to your accuracy for that run, with a bonus the first time you clear a given drill in a region. They're tracked in your Logbook alongside drills cleared, average accuracy, regions opened and your day streak.

Occasionally a drill throws in an unusual condition — an insect hatch, fog, an algal bloom or a cold snap — instead of the usual scenario. When it happens, clearing that drill unlocks a Rare Sighting card in your Field Journal. There's no way to force one; they show up on their own roughly one run in five.

Yes. Open the Logbook screen, scroll to Reset, and press and hold the reset control for two seconds until the ring fills. This wipes every drill result, Field Note, journal entry and unlocked region back to a fresh start. It cannot be undone, and there's no account to recover it from — everything lives only on your device.

No. Calm Water only reduces the water motion animation, and Coaching Hints only shows an optional hint banner during a drill. Neither affects your accuracy, your Field Notes, or what unlocks. Both are toggled in the Preferences section of the Logbook screen.
